在校园生活中，安全是一切的基石。为了提升全体师生的安全意识，增强大家在紧急情况下的逃生自救能力，东方英文书院国际部开展了一场别开生面的教学区应急疏散演练，快来跟我一起直击现场！
In campus life, safety is the foundation of everything. To enhance the safety awareness of all teachers and students and improve their ability to escape and self-rescue in emergencies, OECIS conducted a unique emergency evacuation drill in the teaching area. 未雨绸缪，演练筹备超细致
Preparing Ahead: Meticulous Planning
for the Drill
早在演练前，学校就进行了周密的安排。老师们提前行动起来，学生处和相关学部、安全办打好招呼，避免引起不必要的惊慌；生活老师认真检查每一条疏散通道，确保畅通无阻。班主任也没闲着，在演习前一天的晚自习，着重给同学们强调疏散路线和注意事项，让大家心里都有底。
Well before the drill, the school made thorough arrangements. Teachers took proactive steps, coordinating with the Student Affairs Office, relevant departments, and the Safety Office to prevent unnecessary panic. Dormitory supervisors carefully inspected every evacuation route to ensure smooth passage. Meanwhile, homeroom teachers played a key role, using the evening study session the day before to emphasize evacuation routes and safety precautions, ensuring that every student was well-prepared.

Live Drill: Organized and Efficient Evacuation
实战演练
“火灾” 模拟发生在中午 2:05 上课前，随着烟雾弹升起，警报声骤然响起，演练正式拉开帷幕。按照预定的疏散路线，1 - 6 年级的同学们行动迅速。北面班级的同学沿着教学楼西侧直梯有序撤离，南侧班级的同学则通过东侧环形楼梯快速疏散。7 - 12 年级的同学们也不示弱，他们先经由教学楼西侧楼梯到达四楼，再通过连接生活区的通道走廊，右转后从生活区楼梯顺利疏散。
The simulated “fire” occurred at 2:05 PM, just before class. As smoke grenades were set off and the alarm sounded suddenly, the drill officially began.Following the designated evacuation routes, students from Grades 1 to 6 moved quickly. Those in the northern classrooms evacuated in an orderly manner via the west-side stairs of the teaching building, while those in the southern classrooms exited rapidly through the east-side circular staircase. Meanwhile, students from Grades 7 to 12 were just as swift. They first moved to the fourth floor using the west-side staircase, then proceeded through the corridor connecting to the residential area, turned right, and safely evacuated via the dormitory staircase.
在整个过程中，老师们始终坚守岗位。负责疏导的老师和班主任迅速到位，引导同学们用湿纸巾捂住口鼻（或者手捂鼻子状），沿着安全通道快速有序地撤离。大家都牢记 “急走但不推搡” 的要求，就算再着急，也没有出现混乱的场面。要是发现有人摔倒，行进队伍会立刻停止，旁边的老师会第一时间维护现场秩序，并及时上报。
Throughout the drill, teachers remained at their posts. Supervising teachers and homeroom teachers swiftly guided students, instructing them to cover their noses and mouths with wet tissues (or their hands) while evacuating through safe passageways in a quick yet orderly manner. Everyone followed the rule “move quickly but do not push,” ensuring there was no chaos despite the urgency. If anyone fell, the evacuation team would immediately pause, and nearby teachers would step in to maintain order and report the situation promptly.
总结提升，安全知识再强化
Review and Improvement: Reinforcing Safety Knowledge
演练结束后，国际部王主任对这次演练进行了小结。他充分肯定了大家在演练中的表现，同时也指出了一些需要改进的地方，让大家对消防安全知识有了更深刻的认识。
After the drill, Director Wang of OECIS provided a brief summary of the exercise. He praised everyone’s performance while also highlighting areas for improvement, deepening students’ understanding of fire safety.
不仅如此，学校还在校园操场上设置了一个着火点，开展灭火演习。专业人员现场讲解示范，同学们看得目不转睛，纷纷表示学到了很多实用的灭火技巧。
Additionally, the school set up a controlled fire point on the playground for a firefighting demonstration. Professionals conducted live explanations and demonstrations, capturing the students’ full attention. Many expressed that they had learned valuable and practical fire extinguishing techniques.
安全无小事，共同守护校园安全
Safety is No Small Matter: Protecting Campus Security Together
这次消防演练，不仅是一次简单的活动，更是一次生动的安全教育课。通过演练，同学们和老师们都熟悉了逃生路线，掌握了更多的自救技能，在面对突发火灾时能够更加冷静、从容地应对。
This fire drill was not just a simple activity but also a valuable and engaging safety lesson. Through the drill, both students and teachers became familiar with evacuation routes and learned essential self-rescue skills, enabling them to respond to emergencies with greater calm and confidence.

Fire Escape Tips: Life-Saving Skills in Critical Moments

保持冷静，明辨方向：发生火灾时，不要惊慌失措，要迅速判断火源位置和安全出口方向。记住，贴近地面的空气通常烟雾较少，能见度相对较高，所以逃生时尽量弯腰或匍匐前进。
Stay Calm, Identify Directions: In the event of a fire, do not panic. Quickly assess the location of the fire and the direction of safe exits. Remember, the air near the ground usually has less smoke and better visibility, so when escaping, try to crouch or crawl low to the ground.

捂住口鼻，减少吸入：用湿毛巾或湿纸巾捂住口鼻是非常重要的自救措施。湿毛巾可以过滤部分有害气体和烟尘，减少吸入对呼吸道的伤害。注意要将口鼻完全捂住，同时避免湿毛巾捂住眼睛影响视线。
Cover Your Mouth and Nose, Reduce Inhalation: It is crucial to cover your mouth and nose with a wet towel or wet wipes as a self-rescue measure. A wet towel can filter out some harmful gases and smoke, reducing damage to your respiratory system. Make sure to cover your mouth and nose completely, but avoid covering your eyes to maintain visibility.

不乘电梯，走安全通道：火灾发生时，电梯可能会因断电、故障等原因停止运行，将人困在里面，十分危险。所以，一定要选择楼梯等安全通道进行疏散逃生。
Avoid Elevators, Use Safe Passageways: During a fire, elevators may stop functioning due to power failure or malfunction, trapping people inside. Therefore, always use stairs or other safe passages for evacuation.

远离危险，勿贪恋财物：在逃生过程中，千万不要为了拿取贵重物品而返回危险区域。生命安全永远是第一位的，财物损失可以再弥补，但生命一旦失去就无法挽回。
Stay Away from Danger, Don’t Risk Valuable Items: During evacuation, never return to a dangerous area to retrieve valuables. Safety should always come first. Material losses can be replaced, but once a life is lost, it cannot be restored.

发出信号，寻求救援：如果逃生通道被大火封堵，无法顺利撤离，应尽快退回到相对安全的房间，关闭门窗，用湿布堵塞门缝，防止烟雾进入。同时，通过挥舞鲜艳衣物、手电筒照明等方式向窗外发出求救信号，等待救援人员的到来。
Signal for Help, Seek Rescue: If the escape route is blocked by fire and evacuation is not possible, retreat to a relatively safe room as quickly as possible. Close the doors and windows, and seal door gaps with wet cloths to prevent smoke from entering. Use bright-colored clothes or a flashlight to signal for help through the window, and wait for rescue teams to arrive.
